YGAM is an award-winning charity focused on protecting young people from the harms of gambling and gaming through education and research. As their mission grew to include digital addiction, their branding needed to better connect with a younger audience while maintaining trust with parents and policymakers.
We developed a new brand identity that addressed these challenges by introducing a bold, digital-inspired design. The logo now separates the 'Y' from 'gam' to emphasize 'Youth' and the connection to gambling and gaming, making the name easier to pronounce as ‘why-gam’. The ‘Y’ placed inside a glowing circle references both youth focus and gaming culture, symbolizing the constant, immersive nature of digital platforms.
Additional brand assets, such as the blurred imagery and the circular device, were designed to highlight the hidden dangers of online gaming and gambling, reinforcing YGAM’s mission to raise awareness and educate.
To ensure YGAM’s rebrand truly connected with their audience, we led stakeholder workshops and tested branding routes with focus groups. The result was a detailed brand book, a launch strategy, and materials for their relaunch at the Houses of Parliament. We also provided a website re-skin, overlaying the new brand elements onto their existing WordPress site as an interim step while their new digital platform is developed.
We have received nothing but positive feedback on how our brand now looks and feels. It has been incredibly well received by our staff, stakeholders and the teachers and professionals who use our resources. Full credit to your team for how you approached this difficult project and achieved such impressive results in the super tight time frame. It’s evident that your vision was spot on.
Let’s grow something brilliant
